Active Areas was established in 2010 by Darren Clark, and services NSW, Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria. Darren has over 25 years of international experience in the design and installation of playground equipment and sports surfaces. Further, Darren has worked at all ends of the supply chain, including manufacturing, local government, sporting bodies at local, regional and state levels, and of course as an installer and head contractor. As such he understands the need to maximize the value of every dollar and the importance of giving the best expert advice on the right product.

Active Areas has identified and sourced products from some of the World's most prestigious and proven manufacturers of playground equipment and sports surfaces in Australia, Europe, and the USA. Our installers have worked on surfaces for Olympic Games, WTA and ATP tennis tournaments, international basketball, handball, soccer, and hockey tournaments - installations that require meeting the most stringent tolerances for certification.
